The White Rann: What’s in a name?

Located in the westernmost extreme of Gujarat, the White Rann is a salt marsh which, many million years ago, was a shallow part of the Arabian Sea. Situated in the Thar Desert region of Kutch district in Gujarat, this place is famous for more than one reason. This area is covered by pristine white sand that literally shimmers like a sea of diamonds on a full moon night.
