History

The real name of Haji Pir was Ali Akbar. He was a soldier of Sahabuddin Ghori. When his service in the army got over, he settled in a local village named Nara and started to help people and animals. He was real savior of cows and other animals.

When Ali Akbar visited the greatest pilgrimage of the followers of Islam, he was entitled to be a “Haji” and became famous as Haji Ali Akbar. He spent his whole life for the welfare of poor people in Kutch and now worshiped as Haji Pir or Zinda Pir.
